Well hello there! Welcome to LGBTQ Centre. This is a new thing for me, so I hope you give it a chance. Let me begin by saying that guest can only post in the suggestions thread and the advertising thread, because this is a members only site, but all the forums are pretty much viewable to you. Their not hidden or anything, but the threads are...if that makes sense. You can get a sense of this site and decide if you'd like to join. This site is for people of all kinds, but it's primarily a LGBTQ board. With that aside we DO allow other people as long as you respect the others on this site.
In order to register you must be between the ages of 13-25. I really don't want to have an age restriction on this site, but the primary focus is teens/young adults.
Okay, the steps to register are simple. Click the register button, fill out the regular proboard form. Once you do that, click submit and you'll be all set. All you have to do after that is fill out the form below and then you can begin posting once you've been sorted into a group.
Username you registered with:
What member group to be sorted into (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Questioning, Straight, No Preference, Pansexual):
This form is only so I know a little about you so I can sort you. If this is to much for you, I'm very sorry [to have wasted your time] and you can always e-mail me telling me so. But this is also so I know what group to sort you into and I know a lot of people HATE to be labeled with the above, but it just makes it easy for me. If you would not like to be sorted into any groups, you may choose the no preference choice.
------
Below I will list out the rules and regulations.
1. Respect everyone here. I know not everybody has the same views as the next person, but go about it in a respectful manner. Don't put someone down because they think completely different. Have an open mind.
2. Don't give out too much information. This is the internet and anything can happen. I will try my best to protect what you say on this site, but I CAN NOT do that job alone if one person is giving out their SS# and the next person is giving out their phone number. Whatever information you divulge, be responsible with it and know the aftermath.
3. Be active! We can all make really cool friends here but if you're not active how's that going to happen?
4. Be kind - this is a community to help each and every person if they need it, or discuss things that are going on. Put downs and degradation of a person will not be tolerated.
5. No homophobic behavior and this rule is mainly for that guest that comes around to LGBT sites and spams the cbox just for the heck of saying something belittling in a community such as this.
6. If you are being harassed or bothered by another member, please PM me or email me.
7. Have fun! Yes, that's a rule. I don't want you to come on here and be bored. I want you to have uber amounts of fun, so this is the first (or second, or third) place you come on and you're just like OMG, I'm having so much fun. Haha, you get the point.
8. Please respect each other. This is part two of the respect rule. I don't want drama between members - just peace and harmony. I don't want to have to ban anyone from the board, therefore let's all be friends :] or at least friendly
9. Do not copy people - meaning do not steal something a person made like a tutorial for this site and claim it as your own.
10. Use correct grammar and spelling. Don't say, 'hay mah nme is jen & i lyk jst bing col' I know not everyone is from the U.S. but I'd just like everyone to understand everyone without having to squint at the screen and say what the heck was that. But anyways, text talk is okay just as long as you don't go overboard with the %$%^&
11. You know that saying whatever happens here stays here. Well, that applies here. Don't just throw someones information around the internet for the heck of it. Ask yourself: Would you like if someone threw something personal out on the internet and circulated it to everyone?
12. The avatar size is set to 150x150, so any pictures you upload to appear under your username will have to be 150x150 in less you want it to come out squished and weird shaped.
13. No spamming. No triple posting. No over use of a curse word. I know, I know; sometimes it helps you to get all that anger out but that's why there's a vent section. You can do all the cursing you want in there, but please do not use offensive names.
*Well that's about it. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at projectLGBT@yahoo.com
